A glimmer of hope in the city of lights

Homeless on Paris streetsIt’s snowing again in Paris today and, with temperatures barely getting above freezing, conditions for the hundreds of refugees living on the streets continue to be dire.
But thanks to your generosity we have been able to provide a little help to those in need. CamCRAG has purchased 430 body warming packs, and 420 hand warming packs, many of which two of our volunteers have already distributed.
We have also purchased 600 hand warming packs for distribution by Paris Refugee Ground Support, who continue to supply tents, blankets, sleeping bags and other essential items to those on the streets.
We have supplied Solidarithé with printing consumables and paper cups, so they can continue to provide information and hot drinks at their evening distributions.
Other associations are continuing to do what they can, be it Solidarité migrants Wilson, La soupe de rachida and P’tit Dej’ à Flandre, all of whom distribute food regularly, or Utopia56, who provide aid, advice and a service to identify and help under 18s.
Working together we can make the situation in Paris a little better for those living outside, in the snow.
