Our news team have been somewhat absent over the summer, so below is a quick summary of what CamCRAG has been up to. First, however, please do come along to our AGM on 17 October – we have now announced two guests speakers, full details at camcrag.org.uk/event/annual-general-meeting
Sleeping bag processing project
Thank you to the many dozens of people across the region who helped wash and sort almost 1000 sleeping bags over the summer, salvaged from music festivals. Church and community groups from numerous villages came together to share the loads, and the first batch of clean sleeping bags have already gone to Greece with Cambridge resident Helen from Khora.
Help Refugees are in the middle of handing over most operations to Collective Aid, but our weekend convoys will continue, supporting Refugee Community Kitchen with volunteers and other groups on the ground with donations.
