Donations Drop Off Day – Sept 18

We are organising a donations drop off event on Sunday 18th September 10am – 1pm  at Bodywork Studio, Glisson Rd, Cambridge to collect donations of clothes, food, tents, blankets, sleeping bags, camping mats, pots and pans to take to the refugees in Calais on our next convoy.
Most of the residents, both men and women are of slight build so please no bigger sizes, – no large or extra large, they are not needed. Please make sure the clothes you are giving us are in good clean condition.
Please no children’s clothes other than boys clothes for ages 12-18

Here is the list of items for both men and women we are asking for:
Sizes small and medium and clothes for boys aged 12-18
• jogging bottoms • jeans • short sleeve tops
• long sleeve tops (not shirts with collars) • jumpers (not cardigans)
• hoodies • fleeces • gillets • gloves
• thick or thin non-waterproof jackets • thick or thin waterproof jackets
• waterproof trousers

FOOD DONATIONS
Our priority donations are black tea bags, white rice, red lentils (no soaking required), biscuits.

HYGIENE PRODUCTS
Toilet paper, men’s razors, deodorant (men’s), shower-gel and shampoo, conditioner, baby-wipes, nappies only sizes 4,5,6, wash bags.

Bags for life are really useful in the camp

TENTS
Need to be complete and labelled with the number of people that it sleeps
(no pop up tents please)
Sleeping bags and blankets need to be clean and in good condition

Any donations that are unsuitable for the warehouse in Calais we will be given to a charity shop in Cambridge or to the local food bank
