Sending emergency aid to refugees on freezing Paris streets

With temperatures set to plummet in Paris in the coming days and many refugees living on the streets CamCRAG is sending emergency bivvy bags.

Refugee workers in Paris say there are fears the people living in tents could suffer hypothemia, and bivvy bags are needed to add an extra layer of insulation around sleeping bags.

We have spent £1,000 on the bags and a CamCRAG supporter has also donated £200 which will buy 62 bags.

Also over Christmas CamCRAG sent an emergency package of 100 hoodies, gloves, hats and packs of socks to help refugees stave off the cold.

We are only able to spend this money to help those in a desperate situation on the streets of Paris because of the generosity of the many people who donated to our group and came along to our events over the past year. Thank you!
