February’s convoy

Our latest convoy was in Calais this weekend. 15 people in 3 cars and one van volunteered for the trip and worked in the warehouse there sorting clothes and food to be distributed to refugees in the area.
They also took donations collected locally including warm clothing and sleeping bags for refugees on the streets in Calais and Paris. We also spent £1,000 of money raised locally to spend on essential food.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the volunteers who continue to come forward and support our convoys. While many of us have been saddened and disappointed by the lack of support and compassion shown to those fleeing civil war and oppression from some of our political leaders recently, these volunteers have shown that Cambridge continues to care.
