Evening viewing great start to ‘Home’ exhibition

Over 100 people braved the rain on Wednesday evening to attend a private viewing of CamCRAG’s art exhibition on the theme of ‘Home’ at the Michaelhouse Centre.

The exhibition, which can be viewed at the cafe Monday to Saturday until 29 June, aims to raise funds and awareness for CamCRAG and Cambridge Churches Homeless Project.

Attendees heard from Elliot Harris, Chair of CamCRAG, and Rev. Jon Canessa, chaplain to Cambridge’s homeless, on behalf of CCHP.

We were also treated to a showing of three kimonos by the artist Deanna Tyson, modelled by Gabriela, from Mexico, Faraj, from Syria, and Aisha, from Uganda.

Thank you to everyone who came and gave so generously – we raised over £500 on the night. Thank you also to the organisers and volunteers who made it happen, and Michaelhouse for the kind use of their wonderful space.
