We want your tents this weekend!

Next weekend, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June, CamCRAG is collecting tents from the Cambridge area for refugees in Europe. If you have an unwanted one to four man tent please email volunteer@camcrag.org.uk and we’ll arrange a time slot on either day to pick up your tent.

Many of us would usually be at Glastonbury Festival this coming weekend, and every year volunteers salvage tents abandoned at the end of the event, sending them to NGOs supporting refugees in Europe. Indeed, last year CamCRAG volunteers helped clean and sort some of these salvaged tents at our successful Tentfest.

However, with no festivals in the UK this summer, there are no tents to be salvaged. So Help Refugees have asked organisations around the UK to collect tents over the weekend instead.

We will collect from Cambridge, Royston, Haverhill, Ely, Newmarket and the villages in between. We ask that you provide a minimum of a two hour slot over the weekend when we can pick up your tent(s), your address, and a contact mobile number. Email volunteer@camcrag.org.uk today!
