Thank you to everyone who attended our virtual AGM last night: It was a great turnout. We re-elected some of our trustees, presented our annual report and accounts, and heard some insightful reports from those working on the front line of the refugee crisis.
We are very proud to announce that our wonderfully generous supporters donated almost £2,500 through Facebook and a further £1,000 through Kindlink, which together with our matchfunding and Gift Aid, means we raised over £9,000 to send where it is most needed.
Conditions on Lesvos continue to be difficult, both for refugees in the new camp hastily erected following the destruction of the camp at Moria, and for the NGOs attempting to organise new processes to serve them.
Following the success of the e-petition calling on Cambridge City Council to accept more refugees, we need YOU to write to your local councillor before 22 October, when they will meet to decide the matter.
The lovely people at The Shak Shack are donating 10% of their profits to CamCRAG for the next three Sundays, at The Cornerhouse Pub on Newmarket Road.
Following last week's devastating fire on Lesvos which destroyed Moria refugee camp, CamCRAG is asking for your support to help the thousands of refugees now once again homeless.
As restrictions begin to be lifted, we are hoping to restart our operations to support refugees in Northern Europe.
Thank you to everyone who kindly donated tents, sleeping bags and mats over the Glastonbury weekend.
