Collective Aid values CamCRAG’s support

Rea from Collective Aid reports back on how CamCRAG’s money was spent in Bosnia.

In February 2023, our NFI distributions were kindly supported by CamCRAG with a grant of £2800. This grant went towards purchasing 500 joggers and 500 jumpers from a wholesaler company that sells bulk clothes at an affordable price. The money was spent in two purchases so it could be used sustainably, when need was greatest.

Purchasing new clothing allowed us to provide dignifying and weather appropriate items at a large scale. Across April and May, we saw 461 people come to our distributions, with each person having the option to receive more than one higher value item such as a jumper and/or joggers thanks to CamCRAG’s support. Additionally, we were able to stretch these purchases to cover the months from April to July, where a total of 1,063 people were able to benefit from receiving these items.

Through our distribution system, beneficiaries can customise their requests on an online order form to be picked up the next day at one of distribution locations. Alongside our order form, we offer a free-shop with jumpers and joggers along with other items for those who are not aware of our services, and in the case of emergencies. This method of distribution ensures everyone’s needs are met and we can stay adaptable to provide the most dignifying service.
