We have now reached our target of £5,000 and our Winter appeal has closed. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated!
Winter is the hardest time of the year for the refugees in the Calais camps. Living in tents and makeshift shelters, often without electricity, the cold of Northern France makes their situation even more desperate.
At this time of year our thoughts often turn to those less fortunate than ourselves. That why we’re asking you to give whatever you can to support our next convoy in January so we can send vital supplies to the camp.
We’ve set a target of £5,000, this will buy generators, wind up lamps, blankets, tents and sleeping bags to go on our next convoy planned for the end of January.
We are a grass roots volunteer group who organise monthly convoys of aid and volunteer support to the Calais camps. We rely entirely on donations from individuals to deliver this help. By giving to this appeal you will help make it possible for this vital aid to reach the people in the Calais camps this winter.
Please read this account from our supporter Dan Ellis who visited the camps in Calais in November and was shocked and moved by what he found.
Thank you for considering donating to this important cause, your support means a lot to us, and to the people in the Calais camps.
Why not give a donation on behalf of a loved one as a Christmas present with a difference? When you donate email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll send you a link to download and print a certificate confirming your donation which you can give as a gift this festive period.
